Biographical / Historical

Kieffer was born in Frederick, Maryland, was raised in Baltimore and served from 1928-1956 as a reference librarian in the Franklin and Marshall College Library. From 1956-1959 she served as the librarian of the Lancaster County Historical Society, and from 1959-1966 as the archivist of the Evangelical and Reformed Historical Society. In addition, she was an active local historian and genealogist and published many works on those subjects.
